Anti-drone defence for events

The sky over your event is under control.

Drones film backstage, fly over the crowd and follow your guests. We detect them and stop them — quietly, before they spoil your event.

The threat

Event security does not end at the gate.

Access to an event can be tightly controlled, yet the airspace above it often goes unwatched. One unauthorised flight is enough to put the audience, the programme or the privacy of the guests at risk.

Unauthorised filming

Rehearsals, backstage preparation and restricted areas can be filmed and shared without permission from the organiser.

Risk to the audience

A drone flying over the visitors is a risk if it fails, loses control or falls among the people.

Tracking guests

Drones can be used to watch the movements of artists, VIP guests and their teams, including outside the guarded perimeter.

Potentially dangerous payload

Some drones can carry different objects. From the ground it is not always possible to tell what they carry or what the operator intends.

The security of an event does not end on the ground.

The difference

Security that looks up.

Ordinary security

  • Watches the entrances: tickets, bags, detectors.
  • A drone arrives from above and bypasses everything.
  • Nobody knows who is flying it, or from where.
  • The response comes after the footage is out.

With our protection

  • We watch the sky over the whole venue.
  • We pick up the drone before it reaches the stage.
  • We show where it is and where the pilot is.
  • The response is planned and starts in time.

The technology

What stands behind the watch.

Several kinds of sensors work together to follow the sky over the venue.

Watching

We see the sky over the whole venue.

Radar and radio sensors follow the air over the stage, the audience and the approaches. As soon as a drone shows up, we mark it and track it until it leaves the zone.

  • Cover over the stage, the audience and the surrounding streets
  • Works at night, in rain and in fog

Data

Many sensors. One shared picture.

Radar, radio sensors, day and thermal cameras come together on one screen. The weakness of one is covered by the strength of another, so there are fewer false alarms.

  • One screen for the whole security team
  • The information goes straight to the security firm

Identification

We can often tell what the drone is and where it is flown from.

A drone’s radio link gives a lot away. Sometimes its model is recognised, along with where it is and where the pilot stands. How precisely depends on the equipment, the place and the drone itself.

  • Model, position and flight path of the drone
  • The pilot’s position, where that is possible

How we work

From the first site visit to watching on the ground

Every event has its own particulars. That is why we adapt the equipment, the watch positions and the coordination to the specific venue and the way security is organised.

  1. 01

    When do we start?

    We start before the event

We look at the venue, the stage and the programme first, then choose the tools. The mobile kit is set up quickly and packed away after the event.

  2. 02

    Who watches the sky?

    We watch everything on site

Radar, sensors, cameras, software and our team work as one system. We watch the sky over the whole venue, and the kit is unseen by the audience and never gets in the way of the show.

  3. 03

What do we do on a threat?

    We act and report

On a confirmed threat the team follows a ready plan — fast and quiet, without interrupting the show. When it is over you get a report on everything that happened.

Questions

Frequently asked

What does an anti-drone system do?

It is a set of sensors and software that finds drones around the venue, tracks them and shows security where they are and where the pilot is. When needed, the team stops the drone.

What kinds of drones can you detect?

Small and large, off-the-shelf and home-built. We search in several ways at once — radar, radio signal, sound and cameras — so we also catch drones that fly without a radio link.

Does it work at night and in bad weather?

Yes. Radar and radio sensors work in darkness, rain and fog. Thermal cameras add to the picture at night. Every sensor has a weakness, so we combine them.

Will it interfere with sound, lights and broadcast?

Detection interferes with nothing — the sensors are quiet and unobtrusive. If active response is needed, the stage frequencies (microphones, monitoring, television) are agreed in advance with the sound team.

What does it cost and how long does it take?

It depends on the venue, the programme and the number of guests. After a site visit you get a clear quote with timelines. We start with a free conversation.
