Drone threat consultation

Not every event needs full protection. Some only need a good plan. So we start with a conversation and tell you honestly how big the risk is for you.

  • A conversation about the venue, the programme and the guests
  • Where a drone could launch and where a pilot could stand
  • What it could film
  • What security and the organisers should do
  • On call on the day of the event

Best for: Organisers who do not yet know how big the risk is for them.

Monitoring the perimeter and the sky

Security watches the crowd. Nobody usually watches the sky. So we place sensors around the venue and follow whatever flies over it. When a drone appears, the security firm knows at once, not after it has already filmed the stage.

  • We watch the perimeter around the venue
  • We watch the sky with radar, a radio sensor and cameras
  • We show where the pilot is
  • We alert the security firm straight away
  • We record every detection

Best for: Concerts, festivals and stadiums, where security watches the people, not the sky.

What is included

Perimeter and sky

The sensors cover the venue and the areas around it, where drones most often take off from.

Mobile equipment

It travels with us, is set up for the event and packed away after it. The audience does not notice it.

A signal to security

The security firm gets an alert on a phone and on a screen: where the drone is and where it is heading.

Where the pilot is

We can often show where the drone is being flown from. Security goes straight there.

What each sensor sees

There is no perfect sensor. That is why we combine them.

SensorWhat it doesStrengthWeakness
RadarSees moving objects in the air.Long range. Works at night and in bad weather. Can mistake birds for drones.
Radio sensorPicks up the signal between drone and pilot.Knows the drone model, often where the pilot is.Cannot see a drone flying without a radio link.
MicrophonesListen for the sound of the rotors.Passive — they emit nothing.Short range. Crowd noise gets in the way.
Daylight cameraGives a clear picture of the target.Confirms what it is.Fog, rain and darkness get in the way.
Thermal cameraSees the heat of the target.Works in total darkness.Less detail, higher cost.
Data fusionSoftware that merges all sensors into one picture. Most accurate result.Needs tuning to the venue.

How it works

Monitoring and detection

  1. 01

    Detect

The sensors pick up something in the air.

  2. 02

    Track

The system follows position, height, speed and direction.

  3. 03

    Identify

Software and the operator decide what it is.

  4. 04

    Alert

If the drone is a threat, the security firm gets a message at once.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked

Who do you alert when you detect a drone?

The event’s security firm, in the way we agree in advance: a phone, a radio or a shared screen. If you have no security firm, we alert you.

Do you catch drones with no radio link?

Yes, with radar and cameras. A radio sensor cannot see a drone flying a preset route with no link. That is why we never rely on one sensor.

Will the sensors interfere with sound and broadcast?

No. The sensors are quiet and unobtrusive. Stage frequencies are agreed with the sound and television teams.

Will we be flooded with false alarms?

We cut them by tuning the system to the venue and merging data from several sensors. Before the event we tune it together with you.

Let us look at the sky over your event.

Tell us about the event or the guest. We will tell you where a drone could come from.

No obligation. Full discretion.
